I first met Doly in October 2023, when I joined her office as a part of the Ontario Legislature Internship Programme (OLIP). Doly showed me the importance of constantly speaking out. She never gave up, and she spoke out for me and other Palestinians against all odds. She inspired me. My main takeaway from working with Doly is how passionate and dedicated she is to serving the people of Scarborough Southwest and the people of Ontario. Her office does not turn anyone away. They help anyone that walks through their doors. I know that Doly will always stand up for what is right, because I see in her the same values that my parents passed on to me. Doly is courageous, Doly is resilient, and Doly stands up for freedom. May we all see a free Palestine in our lifetimes.
